I bought a CVA Scout rifle in 300 blackout, 3 years ago. I really like it. For a cheap single shot the quality seemed really good.
It is short, light, super accurate, great trigger.
I shot 2 nice bucks, a couple does, a hog, a couple coyotes and a coon with it. I got complete pass thoughs on all my shots even with some cheap zombie max bullets.
The first year I hunted with it I noticed that every box of bullets I would have 2-3 misfires. The primer strikes looked light. I sent it back in to CVA and they cleaned it up and shot it 10 times with some more expensive Hornady ammo and said there was nothing wrong with it. I assumed it was just the type of ammo I was using.
I didn't use it the following year. This past season I used some different ammo and started having the same issues again. I tried several different brands and types of ammo and had some misfires with each. I sent it back to CVA and they told me it couldn't be repaired and that they no longer make that gun in 300 blk.
They did offer to pay me what I paid for it, or replace it with another gun (which I was pleased to hear).
**have any of you guys had misfires or and other issues with CVA rifles?**
They told me they had never had this with their guns but I have a hard time believing this.
