    Radio Cooler???

Do you have to use an amp to powers pair of 200w speakers? Or can you just use a deep cycle battery and your iPod?

I would say you need an amp. I dont believe the ipod is strong enough

You need a amp to push the speakers the iPod doesn't have the power. I just put a amp in my golf cart to play iPod with some speakers. They r selling amps that only push around a 100 watts for use with a cooler. I got mine for about 40 dollars and it works great.

I had a 2000 watt Soundstream in my cooler... . Had 4 Bazooka 8's and a 8 inch Bazooka tube in an Icey Tec cooler. Clarion head unit w/ipod. Added a smaller amp when I added my horn tweeters. Yes... it would jam. Sold recently with my boat.

Yep you need an amp. Equalizer helps make it sound better too.

I'm going to build a set up for my golf gart and I bought a set of component speakers and a 200w amp. I should have some good sound for less than $100

Im building me a cooler, I was just wondering if yall use a certain type of battery? Deep cycle marine? Regular car battery? Ive heard that the batteries they put in wheelchair scooters work good. Any truth to that? Thanks ill be running a small amp and two 6.5 100w speakers
