First Deer with a Bow

This is my 3rd archery-only season and finally took my first shot. My wife kept telling me on the way out the door to take my rifle because she was sick of the freezer being empty. Got this guy at 22 yards out of a tripod in Menard county on a friend's property. He ran about 25 yards, fell down, and never got up. Age estimated at 4.5 and scored right at 115 almost perfectly symmetrical.

Was that a rush or what! There is nothing quite like bow hunting, especially when it's a buck within range. Great job and may you get many, many more bow experiences like that one. It never gets old! I'll bet you were grinning all the way home after getting a buck like that one.
