Caught this young redtail on the road today during the rain. Best shot of several backlit shots, cropped a little. I know where he hangs and will try to get more with better light.

Shane the only thing is I had to still pull him out of the dark a bit creating a bit of noise that Neat Image couldn't get rid of completely. I like it though. He was up in the top of a tree.

This reminds me of a missed opportunity I had in California a couple years ago. I just got done fishing one day and was heading home. It was one of those beautiful fall evenings and there was a nice harvest moon rising. As I headed down the road, I saw a perfect silhouette of a hawk with the orange moon behind it. I started to stop for a photo, but decided to keep going. Wife and cold beer waiting for me at home, and I didn't want to stop. It would have been an awesome shot.

Could you crop out the entire limb on the left? That's the only place the noise is really noticable. Might turn a good pic into a fantastic one.

Mr. Bailey thank you for the comment and thank you for making me think about the photo a little more. I did one where I totally removed the tree to the left and didn't care for it much. I then isolated the tree and ran it through Neat Image to remove the noise. Here's the result.
