Do you know about the Scavi under St Peters? It was an archeological dig under the alter which has the ancient streets (they filled in the area to level it) and believed to have Peter's burial place. Google it for details.

About to embark on wife's bucket list trip to Italy!

Today we visited the City of Pompei and the excavation ruins. A medieval town obliterated by a volcano that's still active today.





Then on to the Bay of Naples and the seaside town of Sorrento [emoji634]

Very nice...headed that way myself at the end of August for our anniversary.....Venice, Florence and Monterosso al Mare. This will be my second trip....went to Rome on the first....3rd trip to Europe overall. Enjoy!
