This is the 5th annual thread. It's getting that time again to start doing some shed hunting and work around our places. Post your shed findings, rut reports, feed schedules, cheap corn prices, LPD'S or anything else pertaining to hunting in South Texas. This is also a thread were we can get info for people close to your place, and maybe we can lend a helping hand if needed.

I'm in Falfurrias off 285, and usually make about 6 to 8 trips a year to the ranch.

Looks like I'll be spending some time in Dimmit county in 2016.

2015 was good.

We had a weird year down south in 2015. very quiet rut, way too much water (unable to access protein feeders to keep them filled), way to green, big buck not moving much in the daytime, had a few up and comers really disappoint (ended up same size or smaller than 2014), had a few regulars vanish. But did have one show up that had been AWAL for 2 years. Chased a deer fro 3 months with no sightings (still have not seen hide nor hair of the deer), but did end up with a good'en, had 38inchs of mass!
Here's to hoping this year is back to normal.

Got my personal best in Webb county this year. The right G2 was 15" and he scored 145"

Tooth aged at 7+

Weight estimated at 200+

Hoping to outdo him next year!
