    DIY'er brain trust

So I am in planning stages of inground box blind or pit blind. It will be wood framed. The inside needs to be black and I hate paint and everything that goes with it. What could I put on walls and ceiling that is dark or black like some kind of paneling, or coroplast or something along those lines? Looking for ideas, anything but paint.

Go to Wally World and buy a few yards of black fabric. Staple to wall and your done.

Old truck bed liners work, no scent and good sound barrier but they are heavy!

I hate painting too... but I hate critters setting up shop in my blinds more than paint... so I get over it.

However... I guess I'd just by a roll of roofing felt and sheath it before putting up the walls (so the black is on the inside) or staple it up from the inside.

fabric holds mildew, etc, etc, etc. the felt smell might get to you (critters won't care.)

I know you don’t want to paint, but try this. Paint all boards prior to cutting and assembly. A roller will make it faster and easy cleanup. When finished, throw the roller away.

I lined the inside of mine with weed or landscape fabric from bottom of windows up.

May cost a little but horse stall mats from Tractor Supply. When through with that blind you can use the to stop your arrows during practice.

Just bite the bullet and spray paint it

Who don't like to paint. No young kiddos around.
