    Police escort for student

    Sad but neat event at the school where my wife teaches.

    Tomorrow there will be a police escort for the son of fallen officer Kevin Will for his first day of Kindergarten. I'm bummed that I'll be on a flight to Atlanta. Sure wish I could be there to support the youngster.

    Prayers up for the fallen officer tomorrow morning.

    Police Officer Kevin Will was struck and killed by a drunk driver as he investigated a hit-and-run accident involving a motorcyclist on the Loop 610 North, near Yale Street, at approximately 3:15 am.

        The wreck officer Will was investigating was also caused by an intoxicated illegal.

          So sad for the family.

          Also sad that the man that created this situation is still alive in jail, there is no need to feed him for the rest of his life.

              I never understand how this statement needs to be said. It sometimes sounds like if it weren't an illegal that it would not be as sad or terrible a situation. Just not needed in this thread. I'm sure it is not what the OP started this thread for.

              Thank you OP for the thread. I will bow my head for the family and especially for the little man who will have to grow up without his father.

                Great gesture for that young man and his family. I can't even imagine the roller coaster of emotions they are having.
