Drone guys need input

I’m looking at re building a DJI Phantom 3. I was given one that took a dive in the surf. I’m figuring motors for sure. I’m going to try and clean the circuit boards. The camera and gimbal I’m not sure about either.

Thoughts?

I would only rebuild a crashed one. A water damaged one would scare me too much, especially salt water.

Another option I’m considering is getter one of those RC racing kits and just using the shell from the Phantom

Fresh water on electronics is one thing but saltwater is really bad-salt will corrode everything really quick
