It has been a long ride. It has flown by quickly, much too quickly. I am blessed to have served my time with some great Soldiers and Leaders. I have laid more than I would like to rest. I have seen war. I have images, smells, and sounds buried in the permanent recesses of my mind. I am forever a Patriot and a Soldier. I love my country. I have given a quarter of a century to the service of the American people and for the protection of the very freedom that my family observes. I am thankful that I am upright and capable. I will serve another six years and walk away. I could have done something else. I even thought about it on several occasions, but I chose this life. I chose to serve as long as I could. It is not easy. However, it is my choice to be here and I will finish my mission. God bless America!!!
