The problem is that according to the text of the law, you would have to take them to an FFL and get a serial number for them

So if I make up some numbers and letters and stamp it on a lower, who is ever going to know?
I mean if for some reason a police officer run a check on the "Serial Number" all they would get back is nothing just like any of my other guns that have never been reported stolen.
