Had a fun time with the family at the lease this past weekend. Very proud of my daughter Sage, she made a great shot on her first bow kill. We were after a old fat 8, but he was a no show. A dominant doe came in so I gave her the green light. Sage has not been able to do as much bow hunting as Aspen because of all her sports. She plays all of them and is a pitcher in softball. So because of her limited time to practice with her bow, up till now, she has hunted with a crossbow.
Aspen is a pro at bow hunting. She has already taken a big hog and A big 8 point. So this weekend she was after a big tom. She shot this turkey at 26 yards, he flapped, took a couple steps and was done! Nothing better than hunting with my girls!
