      Both have a velocity component:

      KE = 1/2MV^2

      M = MV

      The opposite is true.

      Kinetic energy kills... not momentum. Fire a rifle and the bullet and gun have the same momentum in opposite directions. The bullet has much higher KE. Would you rather have the rifle butt or the bullet hit you in the shoulder?

      Not really, do a little more research and get back with us....

        No downside and arrow is in air for less time. Pins are closer together also.

        This is only true if arrow weight stays the same.

          70# with a 155 grain COC broadhead...ALWAYS a pass through even through both shoulders.

            Been bowhunting since '74 and the most I've ever pulled was 62lb on Hoyt I bought when my primary was dropped and broke a limb. I'm 71 and shooting an Elite at 56lbs, 525-gr arrow tipped with Bear razorheads. And, IMO, momentum is the ticket, not KE or speed.

              I'm pulling 70 @ 28.5 480 grain arrow 275fps.

                82# for me. More power = more fun. Plus there is no downside to more energy.

                    I sold my 70# bow and went with a 60# Bowtech 360. Picked up 20 fps. Its easier to draw and faster than most 70# bows.

                      72lbs just because it's what I have always shot.
