Well I slept in a little this morning then went to town and bought some yella pine and a Kreg K4 master kit. That is a hell of a cool unit! I will find a million uses for this thing...wish I had bought it before inbuilt a cabinet a couple months ago.
Got momma's patio couch built too, just need paint and cushions.

I had already been using a Kreg for a few years before I learned how great they are for cabinets.
We only use pocket holes on the face frames. We go back and forth on dado and confirmat screws.
What were you using to dado your decks and ends? What do you use to clamp the face frame to the boxes so you can screw it?

Late to the party. I have a simple Kreg Pocket hole Jig. Not sure what model, etc. That thing has earned it's weight in my tool box. I've built 2 lofted kids beds out of just 2x as well as plenty of other things where a pocket hole necessary.
As far as screws go, I use the kreg screws if I am doing something "nice." But for some things around the lease, etc, I'll use a deck screw. I just know not to drill as deep to account for some counter sink that naturally occurs with a deck screw.

But the Kreg Jig is a cool tool, for any level of woodworker.
Now, next time put the holes on the back so you don't have to use so much putty!
The front will be covered by cushions, the back will be exposed in a high traffic spot.
