Built some weathered mesquite pedestals

Always enjoy your threads. May have asked this before but what do you do to kill all the beetle larvae first?

Thanks! I spray them with systemic if they are hollow or have any hollowed limbs. If they aren't I usually don't have to spray because they don't have any left in the weathered hard wood. That stuff is so dense and hard that a cat can't scratch it. Longhorn beetles typically are in the sapwood and edge of the hard stuff. I'm selective in what I use to avoid potential bug problems. Of the ones I've had in the house over the years I have never had any bug problems or evidence of any.
