1968 VW bettle convertable??

I am thinking about buying and restoring. No rust, has been sitting since 2005. Motor is not locked up. 1 small dent on right door, new floor pans and convertible top (top still in box). It will need complete interior (carpet, seat covers, door panels, window seals) The paint is dull but I think it will buff out good. Has anyone have experience with restoration and VW Beetle's????

Also needs tires but cost is $2k

Turned one sideways in my neighbors garage once! Sorry, that's my only experience with them.

Always heard they were one of the easier vehicles to restore and at that price point, not much to loose.
