Bad car. Pretty ingenious the way they disconnected the blower belt and installed the throttle body where the burst panel goes for driving between race tracks. I bet we haven't seen the last of them at drag week.

I think it looks great either way maybe paint the hood to look rustic like the rest of the car. I would just get rid of what looks to be rust at the bottom of the door panel that could potentially damage the tire and be catastrophic.
