    Need carpentry help

Got an old cistern we dont use @ our property. I want to make a storage shed out out of it, install a standard walkin door. I have no problem cutting the opening, what would be the best way to frame it to accept a prehung exterior door? I was thinking use 2x6 or 2x8 to frame and secure frame by running 2x4's along each upright side bolted to cisern walls, screwed in to frame, trace the curve ontop and cut a 2x? to make a "cap" i guess to nail to the top of the frame and run screws into the "cap" from inside...any advice on this?

use 2x8 to compinsate for curve frame should screw right in.
