    My new Throne

Earlier this summer, I got on a new lease in Clay County outside Bellevue. After getting feeders and stands set up, it was time to work on the camp a little. The first order of business...... a new outhouse.

After salvaging some old lumber & tin from the camp area, a few items from Home depot, and with some help from a buddy, I was able to finally able to get her up and ready for business.

Now to run electric to it. A fan and some lights are in the works and I already made a wooden half moon to put on the door for the next trip to the lease

I would seal all cracks and holes as well. Nothing worse than being half way done and having a bunch of wasps start flying around in there.......

Question - Will it be placed over a deep hole in the ground? Also do you pour something down the hole to keep it from reeking and to help the decompositon process?

John...hole in the gound is three plus feet. I have a five gallon bucket of lime in the outhouse. One cup down the hole after every use ...No smell!

Nice work, Jeff. No doubt you were a civil engineer in a former life.
