Used a homemade swing set from 2 inch tubin added an extra 5 ft for to raise the bar high enough to skin on. Reg swing set to short.

i hang them by their necks it is faster and we use an old pipe swing set

Mine is very simple and on the tree.

I use a boat winch rated at 1000# mounted on the tree. Took out nylon strap that came with it then put braided steel wire from H.D. rated at 550#? on the winch and locked together at the end with loop bought at H.D. as well with the locking nut to tighten up the loop to hook the gambrel up.

The limb on the top were forked limb. Cut two branches and leave two fork snubbed that extended from main trunk which both are very solid limb and fork branch that extends out a foot and half, maybe two foot. Use the fork as hanging wire off of it. Works wonder for me.

Plan on building myself one of these elaborate station once we move to our property.

Seen one once that was basiclly a square with legs in each corner and winches on each leg. Looked a lot like the a-frame type above, but had space for 8 hangers.
