    Rem 783 .308 Ammo?

I came across a Remington 783 in a 308. I was wondering if anybody on the GS had one in a 308 and what ammo they have had the best luck with?? I have been working my way through different grain weights as I come across them. I am just wonder what others have had luck with? I have shot one in 30-06 it was a sub 1/2moa rifle. There again guys a 308 not some other caliber haha! Thanks!!

Used the Federal 175gr SMK BTHP to back out to 500 yards for a 5 shot 4" (.8MOA) grouping. Not to shabby for a cheapo $299 Remington.

Well like I said on the 500 yard grouping pic. Not to shabby for $299. These are the first 3 shots at 1000 yards in a shifty cross wind 7-15 mph. They held for a 1.9 moa group.
