I specifically wrote MASS SHOOTINGS
And in other countries it's ISIS that's doing all the blowing up and running ppl over
Here in America it's my uncle and fishing buddy that's doing this stuff.
Yeah we will have a Sacramento or Orlando mixed in
But the majority are Columbine, Sandy Hook and Vegas types.

And while you're trying to be a smart azz with the pressure cooker comment, there is no pattern with pressure cookers like there is for high powered rifles.

I'm not for banning of any firearm
I'm looking more into the mentality of why someone would want to do this
Look at the guy in Arizona that shot the politician lady at the grocery store.
What about the guy that shot up the softball game in DC this summer.

it's not the gun, it's MENTAL HEALTH

Australia banned guns in 1996

In 2011, there was a mass shooting in Hectorville. In 2014, one in Hunt, and again in 2014 one in Wedderburn (which was a 4 hour siege of a neighborhood).

“But wait, that’s only 3 since 2011! We’ve had 29 in America alone in that same time period!”

This is also a bit of trickery with numbers and comparing statistics. Yes, there have been 29 in America since 2011, and I do not dispute that. But let’s dig deep into numbers- Australia only has 23 million people living in it (with a large amount of those very spread out). But let’s just stick to quantity and not density. The United States has nearly 14 times as many people, at nearly 320 million. So if you compare apples to apples, if Australia had as many people as the United States and the ratio of mass killings to total populace remained the same, Australia would have 42 mass killings compared to 29 in the United States. That is 13 more!

Finally, if someone really wants to kill someone, they will find a way. Let’s look at the recent Cairns child killings in Australia where someone killed 8 children with a knife. Or the Quaker Hill Nursing home arson in Australia that killed 11 by fire. Or the Lin killings, also in Australia, that killed 5 with a hammer.

Copy and pasted.

You don't understand human mentality very well. Hate and violence has always been there and will always be there. A leftist shooting up a baseball field full of politicians from the "wrong side" or some ISIS soldier shooting up a church whats the difference? Dead is dead, murder is murder. You know something I don't about being dead?

Of course there isn't mass "shootings", cause other countries dont have the freedom we have with our second amendment. So they use other things.

And most of the crazies over here are politically motivated because our government keeps purposely dividing us. I dont particularly see that in other countries. ISIS isn't overwhelming in the USA because we don't have the population of muslims present (right now anyways) that these other countries have.

All in all we have MUCH less terrorist like casualties than a whole lot of other countries.

You can make laws and restrict people all you want, but crazy will always be crazy.

I don't respond to footballfan so, I'll piggy back on you. It is not his uncle and fishing buddy unless those people are raging liberals. The majority of mass shooters have been known to have strong leftist leanings. Not all but most. Mental health is a hard thing to legislate.

Ever known anyone who just was "off" one day or just snapped and was no longer the same person they once were? It happens. Most don't perch atop a hotel or tower and kill people. The number that do is so infinitecimally small, it is almost not worth mentioning. If ad time wasn't so profitable, the media would ignore this.

If you can't name a country on or equal to us that has as many shootings that we do then what does that say about us?

All I can say is, freedom isn't always easy. In a free and open society, people whom wish to do harm will do so. We cannot stop their will. Imagine how many people could be taken out in a grocery store using only a hammer. What about a pipe bomb at a high school football game? Guns are not the problem and banning guns is not the solution. If the media refused to report the names of mass murderers, the problem would slow to a crawl. These freaks desire notoriety and regular life cannot stroke that desire.

Tfan
What makes a professional pilot lock the cockpit door and fly hundreds of people into the side of a mountain, or the ocean
How about figuring out why a person could drive a truck through a crowd or abort a baby

There are no 1 size fits all answers to explain what makes people do what they do.

I understand it's not easy - but I dont like sitting around and trying nothing.

I dont believe in taking all guns. Self defense to protect your Family is paramount. I believe other options should at least be attempted. This is getting ridiculous.

The liberals in this country approve your statement.

Tell me what new gun law will prevent people from doing evil acts. I'll wait.

It's pretty obvious. If someone is going to try and massacre a bunch of people then take themselves out, they are going to be making sure they don't break any laws every step of the way. Why? Because people that do these things are rational, conscientious people.

My point is, tactics will be shifted to another method. The media is saying Vegas is the single worst mass killing yada, yada, yada. No, it isn't. Tim McViegh killed over 160+ people with fertilizer. Boom...gone, that fast. He didn't fire a single shot. We cannot regulate and legislate everything. At some point, we are no longer free.

Think outside the bubble for a second.... Pretend these scary black assault guns all went away...every single one of them just gone...

Now we live in peace or "x" days, months, or years...All is great! Now someone using a 9mm and a shotgun in a crowd and kills a bunch of people. No one answer this question except James. What happens next?

Why America?
Why?

The guns are only a conduit for these folks to commit these heinous acts.
But many are starting to question should we even let this be an option for them?
Seriously?

If you can't look around and see how brainwashed and stupid people in America are then I can't help you. We give everyone pretty much everything when they deserve nothing. Then they ask for more, and more, and more. They are so spoiled rotten (everyone fits here) they can't take it when they can't have a luxury other people around the world never even have a chance to have.

Look at how people act when their kid loses a ball game. Or their football team loses. Or road rage. On and On all day and night.

It will be an option as long as I'm alive because I will have guns to protect my family. You and other idiots will not take away my safety so you can feel good. And you know that good feeling will not last BTW

If you don't want to sit around then rally people to vote in politicians that believe in God. Spread His word. Put God back in school. Maybe stop raping the working class and giving to "the poor" who don't work even though there's a hiring sign in every freaking window.

Exactly! Sneak a .22 pistol into Mexico and while in prison, you will lose your "water tight seal". The ratio of gun violence there is second to none.

Prescription pills...how many mass murderers in the US were on currently or at one point on an anti depressant or some time of emotional regulating pill (Prozac, Zoloft, Ritalin). Not saying all of these crazies were on meds, but a lot of them where at one point.

The fear mongering only works when Marxists in power threaten to trample God given Rights. Then, it's not fear mongering. It is reality.

The fact that PT's pressure cooker joke upset you, plus not to mention you have never posted a single hunting related comment on this site, makes it more than obvious you have nothing to contribute to TBH other than to purposely cause strife...

Literally billions on firearms never get used in homicides or any illegal act.
Millions own them.
The number of people that use them for illegal activity is massively dwarfed by those that dont.
Punishing the law abiding for the acts of an EXTREME minority is like killing all dogs because one breed attacks it's owners on a regular basis.

Doesn't make sense.
And unfortunately for those trying to strip of us our constitutional rights, common sense is required.

Annually, there are more than 40,000 suicides in America. Should we ban bridges, tall buildings and ropes?

No. He's comparing inanimate objects to inanimate objects, both of which are involved with people dying.

Logic is not your strong suit, is it?

Are you for real? There is logic to someone jumping off a bridge being compared to someone murdering innocent people??? Wow.

Are you for real? Did the building make the person jump? Did the gun make someone shoot other people? Wow! Like I said, logic isn't your strong suit.

The guns, high capacity clips, full auto mods, etc. enabled him. All bought legally.

Tell me why anyone needs stuff like that. Because it's fun? Cool?

Bridges allow people to jump off of them as well. Who needs that?

Listen, people will, and always have done evil things. It's not the guns, it's the people. The man owned two airplanes. He could have just as easily......or easier, flown one into the same crowd. ITS NOT THE GUNS!!! Now, quit being emotional and start being logical. It's not that hard........for most.
