My pop is probably the toughest SOB I've ever met. He has survived everything life has ever thrown at him. From being shot in the head in a drive by shooting when I was 10, to a cheating wife that abandoned him in his weakest moment. Fifteen years ago he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. It was also found in every lymph node they tested, as well as in a tumor in his brain that was intertwined in his optic nerve. At the time he was given less than two years to live by the doctors at MD Anderson. Well against all odds and by the grace of our Lord he went into full remission in November of 2007. Three years later it reared its ugly head again, this time on his kidney. Because of the type of cancer he has, it is inoperable. For the last few years the cancer on his kidney has just laid somewhat dormant. It didn't grow or spread, but it wouldn't go away either.
Well this morning I got the call that no son ever wants to receive. The cancer has spread yet again. This time to his prostate. There is no doubt in my mind that my father can beat this ******* again, but I also know that he is tired. He's tired of having to fight. He's tired of battling. I 100% believe in the power of prayer. I've seen it in my life and I've seen it on this site. If you guys could kept my father in your prayers it would mean the world.
