    Made me a new riser G 10 / Bubinga

    Howdy Texas

    Hope y´all doing well

It´s been a while since I showed up here

    Life´s busy

Here´s a couple o pics of my new riser

Made out of G 10 glass and Bubinga wood

Carbon reinforced with maple accent stripes and horn overlays

I love the weight of that riser .... naked riser weight 1.4 kg

the only thing that I´m not really satisfied with is ... color of the woods do not really match with my limbs .... oh well ....

    greetings from across the pond

    happy trails

    Hi Daniel,

That's a beauty!!! Did you do the leather work as well? One more question, what are the short aluminum arrows for? Great to see you post.

        That is stunning, Daniel!

Am I going to get to see it in person this fall?

That's a little ridiculous. And on a takedown? Sign me up. Well done.

Quick question. What are the shorty arrows on both ends of the quiver for?

                    Ben my friend

                    how´s life doing ?

As for the Arrow Arm-quiver and short arrows ....

It looks like I invented something without being aware of it .... talking about more then 20 years ago ...

It is almost like an armguard meeting pocket quiver

Arm-quiver for mounted archery it is

                    here´s the story ...

I was doing some horseback archery back then and did not like a back quiver nor a side quiver ... so I went and made something to fit my needs ....

It worked great and has been used extensively back then ...

                    Many years later ...
While fumbling through a wooden box the other day .... filled with horse tackle ... old bridles, rusty bits .... I found a peace of leather which looked like an old armguard .... and to my surprise it was something I have completely forgotten about ...

It must have been laying around in that box for approximately 12 years

It had mold all over the place ... smelling like sh#*
it looked like it has been done a hundred years ago ...
stiff like a coconut shell ... i boiled it in melted bees wax if I remember correctly ...

After giving it a good clean up and some restitching here is what it looks like

not the nicest leatherwork I have done, ugly stitching too .... but it worked ...

remember that I made it as a sort of prototype more than 20 years ago

                    As for them Baby Arrows

they are 17 inches long and weigh about 456 grain

I shoot them with a bamboo overdraw

I am about to leave the house again and will be back on Monday

I´ll see if I find the time to do a video so you can see that arm-quiver and baby arrows in action

                    happy trails

We are very well, and glad it seems you are the same. Be safe on your trip, and check back soon. Looking forward to your return to Texas, whenever that may be. Want to share a coffee with you, sir, and maybe a story or two.
