          Not sure about Marathon, but I'd guess starting salary would be around $60-65k, plus whatever else you make in overtime. Pretty easy to hit $100k+ with those type of jobs.

                First year salary will usually be lower than average (60-70K) because as a new hire you usually have a pretty good amount of training both inside and outside that has to be done. My experiences from facilities in the ship channel area show that after you complete training and are able to get certified/qualified on the units outside overtime becomes more readily available hence more money, 150k is usually pretty easily obtainable. Again from my personal experiences, some higher some lower. Its hard for most folks to start out and you may have to be open to taking a pay cut the first year if you already have a job making good money. The upside is that its a marathon not a sprint so in the long run usually your much better off as far as 401k/retirement goes.

                  Dupont schedule is around 2080 hrs a year
                  2080x40=$83,200
                  $40 and some change is our starting pay for an experienced operator but I'm not sure what Marathon starts at.
