I was thinking I was only going to shoot one but after I shot the first one the rest just stood there. I shot the second one and they scattered but came back right away. I just stood there and waited for them to get under the feeder again. Shot the third one but they didn't even try to run. I made a bad shot on the four one and then they just stood there and watched the fourth one limp away. I was out of rounds by the fourth shot so I just walked up to the feeder and ran them off.
I am at 47 since they started the bounty program in July and see no appreciable reduction in numbers. Two places on two different drainages about 1.25 miles apart. Have taken 67 off oneof them since Jan 1st and 7 off the other (my bowhunting place) down the road since bow season opened. I have put my ambush lights up at one feeder and when they get regular, I'll set up with the 12-ga.
And, I have not seen a legal deer while on the stand this year.
