Just like bows it might be easier to list the "bad" brands because they're all good in one way or another- hard to go wrong is what I'm saying.

I plan on buying some type of trailer. There are a couple on CL but worse case they would go in the back of my truck.
Cobra "Fish N Dive" if your fishing the surf and you can find one. I have a Ocean Kayak "Drifter" and like it a lot. If your a small frame person it opens up many options. Try before you buy is a must!
One thing I have learned on TKF is that you need to take the weight rating and multiply by 2/3 to get a more accurate view of what the kayak can really handle comfortably.
I am looking at a perception pescador 12 at academy. It cost around $500 and a lot of people view it as being one of the best fishing kayaks you can buy for the money.
