    Longbow Buck From The Ground

I've been trying to do things the hard way all season. I bought an ASAT leafy suit and I'm using my Toelke longbow, trying to get it done from ground blinds.

Today the tides finally turned in my favor, and I had a buck chase a doe right past me, or perhaps I should say right through me. He tried to get in the blind with me. I had a split second to decide if he was 13" and I nailed it, 13.5" inside spread was the tally after he took a Simmons Shark to the neck.

This is my first whitetail with a longbow and first Texas deer.

The bloodtrail was fabulous (all 40 yards of it).

It was a frontal shot, with a bit of quarter. I think he wheeled to run as the arrow hit though.

A couple of questions on your set up: Is your quiver attached via Velcro?? Brand?

Looks like an eagles flight quiver.
