I've never hunted on public land, always had a lease to go to, what is the protocol for hunting public land? Do you find a spot, scout it out and throw up a stand/camera?

Congrats HF. I have 3 little ones and it's the best thing ever. Hope you have a better time putting them down. I can never let them go.
