Has anyone bought a refurbished camera body off the internet? smart savings or disaster waiting to happen?

I bought a Nikon D40 Refurbished from B&H. No problems at all in 5 months and 1300 shots or so. Other than the packaging, I would have thought it was brand new.

My experiences have been positive. The only drawback is a shorter 90 day warranty but any manufacturer defects should be discovered in that time frame.
