Recommend a 1911

I'm currently wanting to add a 1911 to my collection. Was wondering what you guys would recommend around a 1000 dollar mark?

The Springfield loaded is one that I was really researching. I really like my other Springfield pistols.

I had a Ruger sr1911. It was nice but didn't fit me. It always shot to high for my taste and I couldn't find different sites to adjust it. If I were to buy another 1911 I think I would buy a Springfield range officer

Used Dan Wesson should be around $1000

I have owned a ton of 1911s and stuck with the DW CBob. Fit and finish are great and the slide to frame feels like it is on ball brearings

Look for a Colt Wiley Clapp Government if you can find one. Springfield loaded are good pistols and you could probably find a used TRP close to that. If you want to support those sellouts.

If you could find a used Dan Wesson around that price range as ahlonslide suggested that would be a great choice.

Springfield RO or loaded are both ver nice. I like my Kimber also

I'm not a 1911 guy, but a buddy of mine has a Sig that I almost like enough to buy one.
