Need tire advice/ Kawasaki mule pro

I just bought a new mule pro fxt. Any recommendations on lift and mud tires? I’m not looking for a tire that will be too rough. Just looking for something that will get me through the rice fields on those nasty winter days. Like i said. I would like to keep the smooth ride. Thanks

Black water is a great tire it has been slightly out done by the new Kenda Bear claw HTR.

Not just performance but more puncture resistance etc etc .. There are a ton of testing done ..

Good luck I love mine and the ride is amazing as well

There a ton of people that love them, also they beat out most other brands in competitions. Also they are cheaper than most, will be my next tire on the grizzly.

So they don't ride stiff ? that's good to read.

I had the original Bearclaws on one of my quads and they were extremely stiff- turned that solid axle machine into a fourwheeler I wanted to get rid of (and did shortly thereafter).

Do the new Bearclaws run true to size?
The originals were 1" short on true size vs. what it said on the sidewall.


I run Maxxis Bighorns on my sxs and although they are a great all terrain tire- I would not recommend them for strictly mud use.

I have had 2 sets of those. In 27 and 30 inches. Both rode as smooth as a stock tire on pavement once you got past 5mph. And we’re great In mud as well

Here is a pic of my Kawasaki Pro FXT after a failure a couple of weeks ago. Dealer recommended and installed the GR Manufacturing 4” Lift per Mfgr. Instructions.

No one is standing behind it by the way so before I would have anyone install one I would ask if they will warrant the installation and parts as well as the Mule because Kawasaki will not and they will not sell or do not offer any replacement frame members.

Kawasaki did provide a new frame cross member or I would have needed to fab in a new cross member.
