what scope for 270

4x12x50 is what I run on mine. Love the extra magnification over a 3x9, and the 50mm objective lets in more light.

Got a 4-16x 44 on mine. Some places I hunt offer 300+ yard shots killed 3 deer last year between 250 and 300 so the 16 power is nice. I also hunted with a 3-9 tasco on the same gun for 24 years and killed deer out to 230 yards.

Depends on where you're hunting and what's your budget. I vote Leupold vx1 3x9x40. You can find it on eBay to have a good price.

I'm definitely a Leupold fan and have one on 90% of my rifles. Depending on your budget, vxiii, vx 5hd or 6hd, also consider the zeiss conquest and terra. Right now there is a meopta mepro in the classifieds that might be a good option for a good deal. For rings and mount, I recently started using the dnz game reaper integrated rings and mount. I like them a lot!
