I decided to stretch the swingarm 4". Original plan was to strut it, like the #53 bike above.

I didnt have a jig or the material to make on, so I used allthread in a couple of places to keep everything lined up where it should be and for my bike to be strait when I am finished. Accordin to my tape measure....it worked.

Tubing is metric, so I found the closest flavor available. I cut some round stock down and had it turned for a tight fit.

Lotsa fender and blinker holdin metal on the back of this bike, so I decided to lighten it up.

The struts....which are just tubing that is bolted up in the original shock mounting holes.

I then decided to cut a little more off the back end.

I got this bright idea that I was going to lower the shock mounting holes.

                    Stupid idea!

I have sincet grinded it all off and I am going to just hardtail it the almost right way.

Next winter.....I mite cut it all off and build a new hardtail frame for it.

                    Baby steps first.

Findin parts for these old things is not easy.

I did find a couple of carb kits, so I pulled em to rebuild. They are still on the bench now.

Bobbers usually dont have front fenders. I am going to use the front fender on the rear. Not sure how I am going to mount it yet. I have a few ideas. Fender will have holes drilled down the sides.

Old flat trackers used to take the front fender brackets and use them for fork support. I drilled some holes in mine and have it on for now. Not sure if my new front tire will fit in it.

Was piddlin and made me a license plate bracket. It will be mounted on the down tube for the hardtail. The little circle is the mounting plate for a 59 Caddillac taillight.

Seat pan that I made out of some 12 ga plate. Im gonna put some 1" paddin on it and have it covered in leather.

Seat will mount to the hinge as a pivot point. I will mount it after my 4" beehive springs get here.

Gonna use brass hardware where I can and its safe to do so.
