Default The official Whiskey (bourbon) thread.

Well, since we hijacked the other thread I thought it best we start our own.

I really like Texas whiskeys!

What whiskey do you like?

My go to Bourbon! Anything wheated! If I could afford it...I would go with Pappy's. Wheller is same distillery with (Buffalo Trace) and a few others.

Itís really good, and easy to find. Little pricey, around $70. I want to try the Ocean Cask Strength.

First glass of Blantons now.. I know we all taste different but I am NOT impressed!! Sounds like I should stock up on the outlaw before it's not available.. Oh well I keep coke around the house for stuff like this but it's an expensive mixer

Of my currently open bourbons my favorites are Bookers, and Four Roses Single Barrel.

Scotch, The Macallan 18, Laphroaig 18, and Aberlour Abunadh. And for a wallet friendly pour Monkey Shoulder.

Mixing whiskey, Pendleton, Weller, and occasionally Dickel.

I've only read this ^ far into the thread but Booker's is by far the best out of all I've read here. And yeah, up to this point, I have tried them all. I'm gonna keep reading. Blanton's is a very good straight bourbon also.

Rebecca Creek is not a true "Texas Whiskey". They import aged whiskey from up North, mix and bottle it here. 1/3 of the bottle is vodka or "neutral grain spirits". I've done the tour.

Garrison Bros...Great Texas Bourbon. They made a very small and limited (also pricey) batch of cowboy bourbon that is probably the best bourbon I have had...wish they had more of it
