Dang good movie. There was a movie in the eighties with Patrick swayze called Steel dawn which is basically Shane set in a post apocalyptic type world. Pretty much follows the plot totally.

A true western classic. Jack Palance was pretty good in it.

Yep, it's a good one. I watch it every now and then. It was one of (if not ) the first movies for Jack Palance. He was still going by Walter Jack Palance.

It surprises me that it is now rated R for violence and sexual content.

Lot of old Great Movies out there that no one sees anymore.
