I am building a tripod and I am not sure what size expanded metal is the best choice for the platform. I was thinking flattened but not sure of the size.
The platform is 24x24 and I will use a boat seat and pedestal mounted slightly to the rear of the platform. |

It is heaver duty than I had planned. I was making feeders frames out of 2” angle and ended up making one more than I needed. So I used the extra 24”x24” feeder frame to make the tripod platform. I was planning to make it out of 1½” angle, it should hold up, just a little heavier than planned.
