    Nice Public Land Meat Doe # 2 !

    Well finally got a chance to hunt Granger WMA again for my second doe.

    Threw in a pop up at 2 pm yesterday apx. 200 yards from my tree stand to Cut them off at the old preverbial pass.
    Brushed it in good.
    Went home ,back 2 hrs later and they all funneled thru my mouse trap 2 hrs later.
    Had my pick of several and chose her .

    Hammered down @21 yards broadside
    70# Mathews DXT
    29.5 " Easton Axis 340 Fmj w/ 100 gr Slick Trick
    She was a 2.5 yo and 70lbs. even dressed

    I now Get my Buck Tag right on time for the rut and there are some GIANTS roaming round this joint fellas !

          Thanks .... haven't had all that much time to hunt there with work, and spending the first 3 weeks of season hunting the Buck I Bowkilled at our Lampassas lease,but I've managed to locate 3 different shooter bucks so far ,so its game on now that I earned my buck tag.( Tpwd made us kill 2 does first,before issuing a buck tag.) Stay tuned there's some Toads I'm fixin to outwit !

                Glassed a solid 160's tonight in an unlikely area , gonna try and recon it this week after work for a potential slip in loc-on ....

                  Granger's compartments are "tough" to hunt. Congrats. I took a doe 3 years ago. Had to scout the ground hard. Look, look and look some more and it paid off with nice flathead.

                          There are no deer at Granger, it sucks bad. 160 inch bucks my arshhh!! Just full of ticks, chiggers, Rattle snakes everywhere. To many duck and dove hunters out there.
