    Cold Weather Stand/Blind Hunting Clothing

Wondering what everyone is wearing for some cold weather still hunting? I'm a big boy but I get cold. I have a mid western hunt planned for December so I've gotta get my butt ready. Everything I own will not be warm if temps drop under 20 degrees with wind.

    Let me hear it.

My 'super cold' get up for stand sitting this year will be the following First Lite gear:

        350 EXP Furnace base layer
        Klamath hooded fleece
*Maybe toss the hooded Kiln in here
        Catalyst Jacket

*Maybe add the Black Ovis 190 base layer
        Merino Base Layer-350 EXP Furnace
        Guide Pants

        Merino Beanie
        Midweight Merino Buff
        Softshell shooting gloves

        Darn Tough Full Cushion Socks
Muck FieldBlazer II w/ 5mm insulation

I bought so Walls blizzard proof coveralls that I bought 20 years ago for about 100 bucks that have kept me warm in negative temps. I don't know if the current ones are still as good but I would think they are just as good if not warmer and lighter. Also have a god pair of pack boots with different liners depending on the weather bought at the same time.

First Lite Sanctuary set is what I use. It will keep you warm, guaranteed.

If in a blind, I'll just wear something to keep me from freezing on the walk to the blind then I strip down to basketball shorts and a t shirt, crank the Mr buddy up.

Tree stand, ladder stand, tripod, etc I'll wear merino base layers, a sitka heavy hoodie and a vest. A heater body suit is well worth the money as well in anything under 40 degrees

Blind hunting, a buddy heater goes with me. Just wear a jacket for the walk to the blind.

I’m a Sitka guy, but a puffy jacket under a wind proof jacket is what I’ve used under 30 degrees. Merino base layer, how heavy depends on the weather. Puffy pants under your choice hunting pants. Gotta keep that body heat close

Cabela's Berber Fleece. Got it on sale last year and it keeps you really warm. I use my buddy heater too, once i'm in the blind.

The first lite sanctuary jacket mentioned in another response will burn you up. It is extremely warm by itself...let alone worn with a layering system.
