Gut it down to the studs, put in new insulation and paneling and furniture.

Put an ozone generator in it and let it run 24/7 until the smell is gone.

Wire left a chicken in freezer for months in camper, unplugged. Good grief it was bad. Just as I was about to burn the thing to the ground she came home with ozone machine that she borrowed from friend with apartment complex. 2 days later smelled fine.

Ok- anybody got an ozone generator they’d rent or loan me for a couple days? I’m a school teacher in the dfw area, Mesquite. Thanks.

It's going to depend a lot on how much upholstery/carpeting there is and how long it was smoked in as to whether you can ever really get it out.

My in-laws acquired a house that was smoked in for 45 years (by one of their parents) and the smoke had just permeated everything. No amount of cleaning, etc. helped.

They finally just tore out all the drywall down to the studs and redid all the flooring. Only like a 1200 sqft house so it wasn't that much. That worked.

Scent Lok makes a small portable that you can de scent your trailer then take it to your hunting spot to cover your scent. https://enforcerozone.com/products/the-enforcer-ozone

You have to wipe down the hard surfaces to get the nicotine off everything first.
Then Febreze the heck out of all the fabrics.

Had a guy that worked in the detail part at the ford house said if you take apples and cut them in half (don't let them spoil) replace them a couple times said it will take smoke smell out of peoples cars that smoked with the windows up. Never needed to try it.

We moved into a house when we first got married that had been smoked in for 40yrs. We removed all the carpet, scrubbed all the walls and painted the ceiling and it worked good, until you left the house closed up for a weekend. You wouldn't believe all the nicotine stains we removed from the walls..

Thumbs up

Just in case no one mentioned it, an ozone machine.

Ozonics (sp) is a sponsor and makes a good portable one for tree/blind and it'll work on the cig smell.

Ozone generators work. There are some problems when not used properly. One is Ozone Oxidation. This problem will affect synthetics such as rubber, foam rubber, certain fabrics and plastics causing them to break down and produce other reactive smells. This usually happens when the ozone is too strong and left on for long. A lingering ozone smell usually means you over did the treatment. Less is sometimes more.--------Harvey Penick

Spray everything down with white vinegar, then air out for a couple of days. Then spray a mixture of hydrogen peroxide(one gallon) and one cup baking soda. Let dry a couple of days. Then run an ozone machine for at least 24 hours. Repeat if needed.

If that doesn't work, burn it.

If you don't find anyone to lend you an ozone machine, you can rent them at equipment rental places.

Buy an ozone machine off amazon for $60 and then use it on your hunting gear after you are done. That is what I did after spilling a protein shake in my truck and it getting real funky in the summer time.
