Report it to TPWD. They keep track of sightings.

I've hunted Campwood for almost 25 years and have no doubt there are bears in the area. We hunt on a college buddies 400 acres low fence. We've had pictures of all kinds of exotics, seen some while hunting and even had a picture of a monkey on a camera.

A friend of mine had one run across the road in front of him a week or so ago between Leakey and Vanderpool.

Bears are all over Louisiana and are still protected. It's just a matter of time before they are a problem. We are dreading their arrival on the farm. More frequent sightings in the last year as close as 25 miles. Near New Iberia.Click image for larger version

Saw them twice on Rosillos Mountain Ranch in Big Bend. A single, and sow with 2 cubs.

One was shot in Menard county in 2010, and near Kerrville in 2011. Not sure if anyone was penalized.

We had one on our place in Junction in 2003, I did not believe it until the biologist from the state park came and verified then my wife saw it.True .

I wish you can shoot all the nutria you want at anytime.
