    Seperated at Birth

I have a yearling that kept popping up on camera with a broken antler/pedicle in velvet. I kept thinking that looks so familiar and then it hit me. Its Max, the dog from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Just a little funny thing for your Monday morning.

I'll give the little yearling credit. He knocked the heck out of his pedicle but is still growing from it. Part deer, part longhorn

Wonder if this will effect his rack from here on out or this can be something that will correct itself. That base at the skull is the most crooked one I've seen that still had something growing from it. The angles of his pedicles would form a perfect 90 angle.

That could be one crazy looking rack in 3-4 years!

Yes. I am wondering if since the pedicle is so jacked up if it will ever grow an antler correctly. I have never seen one that horizontal & still growing an antler.

                Anyone have experience with this?

So he shed velvet on the good side but not the damaged side. What's up with that?

That's odd. I don't think it will ever grow right based off the angle. I wonder if there is more damage than originally thought and that my be why it still has the velvet?

Well he got that other side cleaned up and shucked all the velvet.
