Toying with the idea of saving a little on the side all summer and going in on a nice semi auto duck gun for next season. Currently shoot a stoeger m3000 and love it to death but... I also like guns and having lots of them lol
Question is what do you shoot and why do you like it vs others? Iv been looking into A5s,SBE11,and the a lot of beretta lines. |

Sbe ii. Bc it's goes boom no matter what. And when you go to Los chanares Argentina to hunt dove and can shoot 3000 rounds a day every day and 75% of their guns to rent are benellis, it says something....

If doing a lot of walking... SBE II (its light), it kicks like a mule with heavier loads
If hunting from boat... Remington Versamax I'm partial to gas guns cuz I grew up on 'em, Versamax is my go to I keep both clean and dry, and neither has ever failed to cycle ever. I've had both for 5 seasons plus. Beneli action runs better on a high round count b/c its runs cleaner Brother has the Xtrema 2 and loves it |

My only complaint with the Benelli is that, do to a little increase in recoil (being recoil driven), you knock a little further off bead, but it's easy to get used to

Beretta A300 because it fit, was cheap and has never failed yet. It has killed many, many pigs and ducks since I purchased it last January.

I go by how they feel and fit to myself.I have a SBEII it feels a bit more slimmer the my Beretta A400.Like both. Any top end gun is going or should be dependable, it just how deep your pockets and what your looking for. I hear a lot of Benelli fans like the M2 same as the SBEII just don't shoot the 31/2 shells

If you ever get down to Houston, go by Briley Barrels and check them out, they will help you to fit the gun to your body

I picked up a Beretta A350 Extrema last year. I use the heck out of my duck guns. I couldnt find much info on it but gave it a chance. As far as I can tell its the same exact weapon as the old Extrema 2, without rubberized grips and without kick-off. This thing is great. Light, not much kick even with 3.5", cycles smooth. Not one hiccup yet and ive def shot over a case between last season, off-season sporting clays and this season.
I have had 870, Stoeger, and Franchi's. 2 of my group shoot benelli (SBEII and Vinci) and they love them. I saw the SBE jam this year, but the guy broke it down in the field and removed about a 1/2" clump of dirt out of the action and its cycled fine. I will say that benelli's customer service is absolutely horrendous. I sent my Franchi in last year bc of light primer strikes and failure to eject. After sending it back 3 more times (one of those times they sent my weapon to a sporting goods store in LA on the return, who were nice enough to call them and let them know). It came back the last time with a cracked stock which was not there when I sent it in, and they basically said "sorry but we've done all were willing to do", after I raised hell they sent me another stock with different camo, when I called back the lady actually hung up on me after telling me repeatedly that there is nothing more they can do for me. That being said, I know my beretta is made by benelli and ill be dealing with the same folks if I need to use cust svc again. |

I have a winchester sx3 and love it. Have a briley choke for it, and an extended mag for the conservation season. Light gun, I hunt a lot of salt water and am finishing up my third season with it and it's held up well

Versa Max........this one time I had a Stoeger but I had to beat it against a tree because it would not cycle shells. Then I sold it in a garage sale.

Lol, I hear bad stories about the stoeger pumps, but this m3000 is an awesome gun never had any issues with it. Just would like a nice higher end gun to add to the collection and drop some birds with. Right now Im zoned in on the sbe2, beretta a350 and the vinci.

Beretta ES-100 Pintail. It's light, affordable, inertia driven, and has very few moving parts (which makes it very easy to break down and clean).

I shoot a Stoeger 3500. I haven't had a single failure to feed, usually shoot 2-3 cases a year. I have no complaints other than it kicks bad, so does the SBE II.

I'm wanting a franchi intensity. My uncle just bought one in max 5 and really likes it. Got it brand new in box to his door for $835. Hard to beat that.

Franchi intensity- goes bang every time and easy to clean. Good gun on a budget.
Beretta a400- little to no recoil. Very reliable. Don't clean but once a year. Very reliable. |

Benelli is about to release the SBE iii from what I have seen and what I read is it is basically the child of the Vinci and the SBE ii so may want to check that out. |

Shooting a Beretta a350 extrema. I'll be honest, it jammed the first two times I took it out. It actually jammed on the first shot I took with it. After 2 hunts with it jamming, I took it home and cleaned it. What do you know, it hasn't had a jam since then. Has been shooting great.
I had never owned a semi before the beretta. I have always shot an 870 pump, but I'm really enjoying the a350 now. |
