Gotcha. I really like that idea. Makes it even more cool and memorable bc every thing is from the hunt. Definitely a great way to preserve each hunt

Doc, is that the same taxidermist that did the mountain lion and whitetail buck several years ago? And was that your mount? There was a thread about the mount on here, but I can't find it. Anyway, that's an awesome addition to your impressive collection!

I use Woodbury taxidermy in Ingram for all my stuff. Derek is the owner's son and is a great friend of mine.

Some of their work!

They have done some deer for me.

No, it was a mountain lion chasing a pretty good buck and had a paw extended taking a swipe at him. The buck was making a turn around a rock or cactus or something. It was about a 6 month long post that he gave updates on about every week or two. Those are awesome mounts though. Woodbury does great work.

I haven't ever carried a backup weapon. My guide had a 338 ultra mag on that trip and on my brown bear hunt the guide carried a 458 lott.

Not how I found him. He was walking down a beach when I killed him. I shot him on day 3 of the hunt and then fished for a week. The mount will have salmon, rainbow trout and grayling in it. It's kind of painting a picture of telling a story of my entire Alaska trip and not just the bear hunt.

Now I am just getting sneak peaks! The base is coming along! They have the other fish placed in the water. I saw the moss that is on top and it's done with some new technique. Looks pretty unbelievable! They have this week to put it all together then it heads to Vegas!

Kiwi safaris. My future wife wants tahr most of all. I have looked at NZ hunts for a while and kiwi always seemed to have to great tahr hunting and the most accessible on foot. I called them when we decided on a honeymoon there and they put together a sweet deal.

Tahr, chamois, fallow and a stag up to 400 inches. Lil doc going after tahr and fallow with 7mm-08. I'm planning on using a rifle and helicopter for the chamois. I will use bow for stag. I will try to get a tahr with my bow if time allows.
