That is an amazing animal! Takes me back to 1973-74 when I saw the biggest whitetail buck of my life on the hoof. Just a stone's throw from Iowa across the Missouri River. Well out of bow range.

I understand that. Why are you saying that it is unfortunate that the record is about to be broken?

He's not. He's saying it's unfortunate that a rack gets deductions for not being symmetrical.

Default Another Outstanding Iowa Buck....

Here is another angle. May have a couple of nontypical deductions it looks like.

That wouldn't be considered typical, would it? G2 on the bucks right side have a "mule deer fork". I thought that qualifies it as NT. Awesome deer, nonetheless.

ANY buck can be scored as a typical or nontypical... depending on how many deductions the rack has you can decide which is way you want to go.

Love those hammocks. I'm about to order a custom Dream Hammock.

Are you getting to hunt up there this year?

I didn't put in for the draw. I have been waiting on a friend to get enough points to draw with me. Plus been elk hunting the last few years and that eats up my time off.

We are meeting with our neighbor. He has 900 acres that surround us in Iowa. He has told me we can hunt his ground. I have not talked to him in a couple of years. We are planning to draw next year.

Start buying Iowa preference points. You will have a place to hunt.
