Default Vanilla extract?

I'm just curious see lot of post about it on here. How does it work, can you get it from wal mart and just spray it all over the ground and stuff where the corn Falls or do you actually have to have a certain amount and mix in with the corn for it to work in just real curious and I want to do it. Any info will help my it a bunch. I'm clueless when it comes to it thanks!

I was always curious of this myself. Two weeks ago I happened upon a thread about it, the same day I saw Pistol's thread about the apple. Curiosity got me and when I went to town for feed on Saturday I swung by the grocery store and got a couple apples and a couple of small bottles of vanilla, what could it hurt. Now I have only seen one deer actually enter my ffed pen all year and that was a buck opening morning that my son drilled, anyway, Saturday before the evening hunt I threw my normal hand corn and dumped a pile of corn inside the feed pen and poured the vanilla over the top of it. Nothing that evening but they ate every bit of it that night, along with the apples I had sliced and threw in the pen. It all happened over night so I am NOT an eyewitness, but it sure was gone the next morning. I will try it again

Truth is, you have to be careful with vanilla! They will flat run your azz over to get to it according to some, but the rest call it snake oil and for the moment you are the conduit between the two...lucky you! Me, I don't know, but the fireworks are great! Waiting for my favorite picture!

I had a whole other comment typed up, but I'll just say this. I've seen folks say to mix it anywhere from 75/25 water/vanilla, to 50/50. Try it and see what works for you/if it works for you. Someone at one time invented everything that we have today. No idea just popped up in everyone's mind simultaneously. And try to ignore the smart alec remarks

I think Buck Bomb makes it...Its called Nose Jammer. It is vanilla scent. I sprayed it in the store the other day. Vanilla. I didn't buy it. Don't need it. But if you must...take a look at Nose Jammer by buck bomb.

Plain corn always worked for me but doing a vannilla mix has produced more deer at my corn pile and faster than plain corn.

I have a 55 gal barrel full of corn and I mix it up as I fill it. My dad lives where I hunt so he takes a little at a time and puts it out for me.

I fill a Five gallon bucket with corn. Using a two cup measuring cup I add 1/4 cup vanilla then fill the rest with water up to the two cup line. I then pour it over the corn in the bucket, put the lid on and roll it around some. We take a one gallon zip lock full of the vanilla corn out each time I hunt and place in my shooting lane. Me.... I'm a believer. .... I've seen it work with my own eyes. Try it for yourself. If you see it work you can come to your own conclusion.

I sprinkle a few drops around the feeder when I'm starting it up in August. A few on the ground, the feeder legs, nearby cedars, etc. every couple of days. When they start hitting it regularly I stop.
