Found this under a pile of metal at the house. “Dixie Industries” brand and it also says 2 1/2 and 50 on it.

Looks like a log handler. Used to grab and roll them to other location.

And staple nailed into the handle is a homemade wedge, I was grown and buying my own tools before I figured out that they actually made wedges to keep tool heads tight on the handle.
