    ANOTHER metal building thread...

Been wanting a shop for a couple yrs now. Looks like we waited too long. Tariffs and whatnot have shot the prices up bigtime.

Went to Mueller in Ennis last week w the wife to price a 30x40 w 2 roll ups and a man door. I think it was 10' eave height, maybe 12.

Materials only around 20-25k. That seems outrageous.

Was supposed to get a formal quote from the salesman we talked to, but never got it.

Does that sound right and does anyone have a recommendation for another supplier?

Our costs have already gone up 14% in the last month and we have increase letters from all of our suppliers saying there will be 15-25% more increases coming in the next month or two. Some steel companies are no long giving 30 day price guaranties. Even had one say that their prices were for day of quote only. We are already seeing shortages in Galvalume panels. I dont buy from them, but i have heard MBCI is not taking any new orders. And they are one of the biggest suppliers out there.
It is going to be a bumpy summer in the metal building world for sure.

I'd highly suggest you call Prime Metal Building Components in Dublin, TX. Ask for Austin Brown who is the owner and tell him Jeter told you to call him. He will take care of you.

2 years ago, 50x90 x14 with a few rollups and concrete under it was about 80k from Lewing in el campo. Had a quote the other day for same building, almost 100k

                    Absolute ridiculousness

I agree it sounds very expensive. Was it weld up or bolt up? I hear bolt up can be quite a bit more.

Im going with a stick frame building and my lumber package is $14k. Its not a rectangle building but is 1850sqft.

I'd build a block or semi block with 25k.
