    Doubling up batteries/solar panels

I'm sure this has been contemplated, done, or posted on in the past, but I cannot find specific info on feeder batteries.

I have a bunch of 6v batteries and 6v solar panels and now need 12v batteries/solar panels. Can two 6v batteries and/or solar panels be strung together to provide 12 volt power

6V batteries connected in series will give you 12V. The + on one battery will be connected to the - on the other, then use the unconnected + and - for the load.

My son wires 2-6 volt batteries in parallel on his 6v feeders and gets far longer usage than a single 6v battery.
