    Bartop epoxy

Got the first coat of epoxy on my bartop, I'm liking it so far.
Got some sanding to do before I apply the second coat.

It looks great. Could you share which epoxy you're using?

This is the epoxy, a little finicky to work with but a friend of mine who builds this stuff for a living swears by it.

I have a bar top just like yours. Can I ask how you got the epoxy to cover the natural side? Did you take any pictures from the start? Thanks

The only other pic I have is when I was milling it down after I joined it all together.
All I done to cover the live edge is to pour the epoxy in the middle and pull it to the sides and let it run over the sides. I used some plastic paint scrapers to pull the epoxy around.

Same brand of epoxy I use on my kayaks. US Composites makes a quality product.

                      Ok, that's pretty darn cool

                      I love the project!

I'm interested to see how your milling box works. Never seen one before.

If you don't have a jointer or a planer or you need to flatten something large or difficult to flatten, building a simple sled for your router is a great sol...

Not sure if this link will work but it's one of the YouTube videos that shows how to use a router as a planner.
This is basically what I do to mill down material that is to wide for my planner like the bartop.

I don't have any experience with system 3
